How and why is one area similar to another?
Region is an area that is distinguished by the human and physical characteristics. The human characteristics could be social, political, and cultural characteristics. The physical characteristics could be the landform, climate, language and government. Regions are like tools, it describe, define, explain, examine, and analyze the human and physical characteristics of the area. Geographers don’t only study the characteristics; they also study about how regions around the world may have change over time.
There are 3 types of region, Formal, Functional and vernacular. This map shows the formal region of Indonesia. The formal region can show you the cities, province, states and surrounding countries. This map shows the province of Indonesia and where it is located in Indonesia. There are a total of 34 provinces in Indonesia. I live and was born in Jakarta. We are apart in the Jakarta province.
This is the economical organization map that Indonesia and several other countries in Southeast Asia had joined. This is a purpose map about countries that had joined the ASEAN. There are 10 countries in Southeast Asia that had joined this group. They are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The secretary general of this organization is Le Luong Minh. ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) was formed on 8 August 1967 and the purpose of this organization was to keep peace between differences.
